At Asian Woman Festival, we're in the job of empowering women to take up space and be activists of their own future. We do this through using our culture, conversation and art to smash stereotypes, patriarchy and stigmas Asian women are often judged by.

Building on the success of hosting the UK’s first-ever Asian Woman Festival in March, where over 1000 people came together from the UK and internationally, and hosting our first London event in July - we’re delighted to be hosting a deliciously vibrant High Chai in Birmingham.

We'll be hosting our High Chai at Zindiya, who will be bringing together Indian spices and flavours through not only the range of tea blends, such as masala chai, but with savoury and sweet dishes including homemade cardamom scones, seasonal macarons from Birmingham’s own Miss Macaroon and street food favourite – the Mumbai sandwich – soft white bread filled with a vibrant coriander and mint chutney, masala spices and layers of cucumber, onion and tomato.

The menu also raises money for The Asian Circle, who are a collective of British Asian women from diverse backgrounds volunteering their time and skills to support disadvantaged women in South Asia by building awareness of their plight and raising vital funds to transform their lives.

Guests will come together at our intimate setting to enjoy a delicious High Chai and we’ll facilitate a conversation that helps you to get more comfortable talking about topics you may not have space or opportunity to otherwise.

You’ll be able to connect with a like-minded group of people and have fun at the same time.

You'll have the opportunity to meet some of the Asian Women Festival team and experience the atmosphere and energy we create at our annual festival.

We ensure our High Chai remains an intimate affair with the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation and make new connections.

Please note - you must be over 18 years to attend.
